Barry A. Ruht, M.D., F.A.C.S.*, AOFAS*  and his staff welcome you to the Orthopedic Foot, Ankle and Knee Institute. Dr. Ruht is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon fellowship-trained in foot and ankle surgery.  Dr. Ruht's one-year fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in foot and ankle surgery involved the latest treatment modalities and surgical techniques for complicated foot, ankle and heel disabilities.  Dr. Ruht's other areas of specialized interest include acute, overuse and chronic knee injuries.

His extensive experience includes non-surgical and surgical treatment of knee injuries including:  customized bracing by a certified full-time orthotist, serial hyaluronic intra-articular injections (i.e., Supartz, Euflexxa, Synvisc-One or Orthovisc), advanced arthroscopic techniques and mini-incision, gender-specific total knee replacements.  Advanced care for bunions, hammertoes, painful flat feet, midfoot and ankle arthritis is provided.  Failed bunion and hammertoe surgeries and second opinions are welcome.

The Institute boasts state-of-the-art medical care in a patient-friendly environment where patient needs take priority.  Along with bright, spacious consultation rooms, you will find computerized radiography, electronic medical records, and a full-time, certified orthotist for custom fitting of professionally fabricated lightweight knee braces, ankle braces, orthotics and shoes for diabetic, recreational and professional activities.  Dr. Ruht and his professional staff consider patient care the highest priority from the initial phone call through the completion of treatment.

Dr. Ruht continues to provide care to general orthopedic patients including spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist and finger problems requiring surgical and non-surgical treatment.
